F*#$.....Knuckles

What's Up All!

So we're less than a week away from the CD release and my mind has been running all over the place for the past couple of weeks about what it was going to feel like when that time came....I'm not going to lie I'm starting to get a little jacked about the whole thing. It's a mix of nerves and excitement all wrapped up into one and sleeping has become a bit of a challenge. After being locked away for 7 months in the recording studio the time has come that we get our "debut" album (as Desolate Rage) out there for you all. I have never been prouder than I am today of what we have been able to accomplish considering the challenges we have been faced with and the support from all of you has been amazing. We left the "light" in March of 2012 and you all know what we've gone through with me being sick and having to take almost a year off because of chemo treatments. Through it all we always said that once things got back to "normal" we would head back out and start again and we've kept good on our promise! Yes we changed names as a band but that was more to get a fresh start and on April 19th (one day after my last chemo treatment) we played the Velvet Underground as DR with some "new" material. It was probably one of the best feelings to get through that show and then hitting the recording studio after that was a whole new challenge. Christian from The Cerebral Studio put up with a lot of our shit and really took it all in stride and I would like to think that he was truly able to get some of the best performances out of us and became an integral part of this whole thing as opposed to just being the guy that presses record (so to speak). I know we've talked a lot about the new album and blah blah blah but honestly we're happy with the finished product and come SATURDAY FEBRUARY 1st, 2014 it'll finally be out there for you all!
Cheers,

Crayola

Hello to all,

Well, it's nice to be back to writing on our blog as it's been a while with the holidays and all. The time has finally come, for we as Desolate Rage have been waiting to hit the stage again after almost a year on February 1st at The Rock Pile Bar & Nightclub West. This will be our new album release show and we will be playing alongside some kick-ass bands and are looking forward to be reuniting once again with the likes of "My Hollow" and possibly "Nephelium". It's wicked to make some noise with these guys as we have played some heavy shows with My Hollow and haven't had too many opportunities to play with Nephelium but we hope to play many more with them! I would like to thank Steve from S&S promotions for organizing this show for us and it's been a pleasure working with him for so many years.

All you Ma's out there get your asses to the show on Feb. 1st and rock it out "you know what I'm sayin'? as J. to the R.O.C. would say:) For those of you who watch Trailer Park Boys you would understand what the hell I'm sayin'......eeeuuurrrr sayin'!!
Next week will be crayon and construction paper time as somebody will be writing the blog next week who hasn't done so for some time and we all want to give him a warm welcome!

Thanks,
Marco

Happy New…..What?????

Hey Everyone,

Let's start with all the usual stuff....Merry Christmas (or whatever you celebrate), Happy New Year, and we're done!

So as I'm sure some of you have seen the website got a bit of a face-lift over the holidays and some new additions to it (mainly the lyrics page, the media page and the contact us page). We went with an old school feel with the metal and rivets to give it that industrial type look....take a look around and enjoy.

I'm sure you've also heard that we've finally decided on a release date for Evolution's Mistake - The digital album will be released on January 31st, 2014.....you can pre-order it from desolaterage.bandcamp.com and get our first single now "Horns to Hell" and then receive the rest of the album on Jan. 31st. As for a physical release we haven't decided yet on a date but I'm sure we'll keep you posted about it.

So let's start the new year off like this and see where it takes us....hopefully we'll be out there playing soon and we're looking forward to the new things to come
Cheers,
J
